No one can deny that these past two years have been a seller’s market. However, with the plummeting interest rates, buyers are coming out on top as well. If you’re thinking about upgrading or downsizing while things still look good, here are a few tips.
Reduce and Stage Rooms

Curb Appeal
I know you don’t want to spend money on a place you’re leaving. However, curb appeal really matters. Everyone loves a home that looks nice right away when you drive up. Adding some flowers by the front steps, a door hanger, and a front porch rocking chair will draw attention. Make sure shrubbery is trimmed back, sidewalks are clear, and toys in the yard are minimal.
Fresh Paint
Carpet is a much more expensive fix when you’re selling, but thankfully paint is not. If a room is looking a little blah, a quick coat of paint will fix that. Neutral colors are always most attractive. An accent wall and a mirror can change the perception of a room.
Packing
When you pack a box, if it can be removed from the home completely that is the best option. Stacking boxes in any room or the garage will reduce how open the space seems. Also, take note of a
couple really great tips for packing your kitchen. Empty one cabinet at a time and put it all in the same box. You likely will set up your new kitchen the same and it helps make sure you know where everything is when you move. Also, grab all your kitchen towels, bathroom towels, and potholders. Use them in between glass dishes to pad and protect through traveling.
Hopefully these tips will help your home sell quickly and for the highest price possible. Most important of all, when you find that new home you love, make sure I’m your first call so we can get started on your quote.
